Thanks to the hard work of our Civic Association and neighborhood volunteers, the 2022 Block Party was a huge success! Participants enjoyed ice pops, hot dogs, and delicious bundt cakes contributed by our local Nothing Bundt Cakes franchise. It was a joy to see neighbors new and old get to know each other better. The civic association had another successful and well-attended National Night Out in August, but this one was special. We honored our longtime, retiring community officer, Joy Bartholomew, with glass keepsakes, that included inscriptions thanking her for her service to our community. Halloween Parade When the leaves turn and the spider webs come out, your neighborhood kids know that it’s almost time for the MHCK Civic Association Halloween Parade! The Glenwood Pool was so kind to allow us to use their parking lot for the event. Costumed children and parents made their way past giant spider webs and festive balloons for games, crafts, music, and dancing.
