NEWS FROM MRS. TOBERGTE

Dear St. Patrick Families,

In honor of Veterans Day, our social media pages will feature some of our parents this year!  This tribute continues within our school building, as well, as we have filled our hallways with photographs and narratives about family members who have served or are currently serving our country.  From all of us at St. Patrick, please join us in this special prayer for our veterans:

Father,

Bless our veterans and all who serve our nation defending our freedom.
For those who bravely gave their lives, grant them eternal rest.
For those who are serving, give them courage.
For those who served, we offer our gratitude.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord.

Amen.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow and Friday for Parent-Teacher conferences.  Please contact your child's teacher if you are running late or if you will not be able to attend your scheduled conference.  Conference times are closely scheduled, so please be on time and know that a teacher will need to end a conference after 15 minutes to remain on schedule.  Conferences will be in person this school year, and we are looking forward to welcoming all parents into the school building!

Lastly, our carpool route will be changing on Wednesday, November 17th.  Please see the map and information below in preparation for this change.  Thank you for your continued support as we have navigated the road construction this year!

God's Blessings,

Amy Tobergte

IMPORTANT REMINDER TO PARENTS:

We have been having issues with tardy students arriving at or after 8AM. This causes a disruption to the classroom and to morning prayers. Staff and safety patrol will be inside the school with the door closed when prayers begin at 8AM. If the door to the gym is closed, a parent must walk the student to the front entrance of the school and sign them in with Mrs. Arigoni. Do not drop your student off in carpool and have them knock on the gym door or come in to the school on their own. Thank you.

IMPORTANT- COVID Protocol

For all COVID related issues/questions please email Principal Tobergte, Nurse Tobben, and Mrs. O'Connor:

amtobergte@stpatrickschool.net

kstobben@stpatrickschool.net

dmoconnor@stpatrickschool.net

All Positive Cases: The student with the positive test result may not come to school.  Siblings of the student with the positive test results may not come to school either.  Further direction regarding return dates will be provided by one of the staff listed above.

Contact Tracing and Community Notification:

Official contact tracing for exposed individuals while at school will be performed by Mrs. Tobergte and/or Nurse Tobben in collaboration with the classroom teacher. Notification for required quarantine will be given to exposed individuals, and communication of positive cases will be sent to the impacted classroom and grade level.

All positive cases reported after 3:00PM Monday through Friday will be addressed the following school day.

All positive cases reported over the weekend will be addressed the next day that school is in session.

If your child has been quarantined for an exposure, you must email a negative test result obtained 24-48 hours prior to the child's scheduled return date. If your child has a hardcopy negative result, he/she must stop in the school office upon arrival at school on his/her return date with the negative results.  Home tests are not permitted for re-entry to school at this time.

If your child has symptoms (runny nose, sore throat, fever, upset stomach, coughing, headache, etc.) please keep them home from school.  A doctor's note or negative COVID test is required to re-enter school.  Home tests are not permitted for re-entry to school at this time.

Student Work:

Quarantined students' work packets will be available for pick up in the front entry of the school between 2:45-3:15PM the day after their first day of absence from school. (Ex: student is absent on Tuesday due to quarantine--work available for pick up on Wednesday 2:45-3:15).  All other absences please reference the Student Handbook for our guidelines.

Beginning on Wed. Nov. 17th, Kenilworth Road will be closed heading south from Morehead St. This means our carpool will need to change again. Cars will head north on Scott from East Blvd. and turn left onto Buchanan St. Then cars will cross over Kenilworth continuing on Buchanan St. and turn right onto Waverly. Follow Waverly to Pierce and turn left to proceed to the route carpool runs now. Upon exit of the parking lot, turn right onto Buchanan St. and go to Dilworth Road East. The schedule below is subject to change if conditions improve and full school Mass can begin, but we wanted to get the information out to parents in advance. Students only need to wear their Mass uniforms on the Fridays when their class has Mass. Regular uniforms can be worn on non-Mass days.
