Hello everyone, I can't believe it's fall already! It's been a very eventful and tumultuous year coping with the COVID-19 pandemic. I hope you and yours are fairing well despite the challenges. Today's newsletter is quite special because we finally have the names of the winners of the "Vultures & Doves: Social Issues of Our Time" poetry competition! It was very tough deciding on the final three because of the richness of the submissions received - thank you to all those who submitted -, so we decided to create an honorable mention list, which you can access on the website. We also shortlisted thirty poems to be included in Issue Two of the Valiant Scribe Literary Journal due for release in December 2021. Thank you for reading and supporting Valiant Scribe; I certainly couldn't do it without you all. Warmly, Debra |
