There are just a few topics that move me in a deep place that is beyond the seat of my emotions. A place that holds the contents of my heart, my core, down to my soul. When the concern is my faith, my family, children and/or education, there's a fire that's kindled inside. Over the last 10 years, our ever diminishing state of education has often left me flabbergasted, begging, "What about the kids?," and "Why should we have to neglect our most holy faith?"
I don't believe that there is a one-size-fits-all solution to the problems of our existing education system. I believe that all of us 'good teachers' who take the time to know our children (students included) possess the skill necessary to bring the best out of them in any sector of education. We can get results, but we must be allowed the freedom to do so.
Freedom. Autonomy. Risk-taking. They are all integral to a quality, highly-effective education that pushes the needle making lasting change to our education system that will produce students who become adults that drive global competition. For many of teachers, parents, and students, our faith is paramount in all we do. We understand how the basis of it calls for excellency in all areas, including education, and we want to honor that.
