Three years after the beginning of the global and life altering pandemic, Camp Champ, as we know it, was in full swing! The pandemic did not fully shut down our programs, but we were forced to be creative in our continuing mission of developing the next generation of leaders for our community. We still saw God at work through these challenging times, but it was so great to be able to run our full Day Camp Program again this summer.
Our youth had fun-filled experiences including field trips and a visit back to rural Dickson Valley Camp, where our youth had a great time participating in activities such as swimming in the lake, archery, laser tag, and much more. We also learned about faith and the life of Jesus in creative ways. We studied nine attributes of living a God-honoring life by looking at the “The Fruits of the Spirit”. We also focused on Noah's Ark and gained a better understanding of obedience to God's will through Noah's journey.
Our summer experience concluded with our youth learning about the meaning of prayer and the importance of having a relationship with God. In our discussion about prayer, our youth learned how to pray with thanksgiving, honoring God, praying for others, and praying for themselves. Several of our youth committed or recommitted their lives to
following Jesus during these discussions.
These life changing decisions are why we are here on St. Louis Avenue, why you partner with us!!!
What a mighty God we serve!
