Beyond Borders: Empowering Young Women to Study Abroad |

On 5 July, renowned women engineers gathered for a panel discussion in celebration of International Women in Engineering Day. They highlighted the benefits of studying abroad, including academic excellence, personal growth, networking, and career advantages. The panelists shared their experiences and encouraged young women to pursue engineering and STEM careers. Two scholarship programs were highlighted: the Marie Sklodowska Curie Fellowship Program and the Lise Meitner Programme, both aimed at supporting women in the nuclear sector. The panelists also stressed the importance of cross-cultural collaboration, networking, and overcoming challenges in pursuing an international career. They emphasized the value of international experiences in gaining exposure to different cultures and perspectives. Panelist agred to say that studing abroad is much valuable asset for there career developpement. We are pleased to announce that registration and call for abstracts for our 30th Annual WiN Global Conference 🌍✨ is now open. The annual WiN Global Conference will take place in Aswan (Egypt) from 12-16 November 2023, is a unique occasion where attendees will be able to network and share experiences, as well as learn from each other and cultivate meaningful relationships. Through a combination of conferences, mentoring sessions, workshops and cultural visits, among other activities, participants will have direct access to first-hand information and knowledge. 🏛️🌅 If you would like to participate with a poster or oral presentation, you have until 15 August to upload your abstract. Stay tuned for further announcements. |

News: Information for applicants We remind you that funding applications for the IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Program (MSCFP) are open. The program seeks to encourage and support young women to pursue a career in the nuclear field. To that end, the MSCFP offers scholarships to selected students pursuing a master's degree in nuclear energy-related topics, as well as IAEA-facilitated internship opportunities.
