It's Rainbow Time!

SUMMER IS OFFICIALLY HERE!!

Happy Friday Friends!!!

Happy Newsletter Friday! Welcome to those of you who are reading this for the first time and welcome back to those returning! Let's kick it off with the anticipated poll results!

THE POLL RESULTS:

THe summer heat is on its way (it has been a lil cold...)! With the heat coming in hot we gotta find ways to stay cool. There are many ways to stay cool but, what is the most popular way to stay cool? Is it using a freezer, eating ice cream, or playing in the sprinkler?! Let's find out...

It appears that it isn't any of those! You all aren't cold-blooded or using that ac unit. It appears that the most popular choice was going swimming! Let's go swimming and have fun!!

IN THE HEADLINES:

Are you tired of all the constant headlines popping up on your phones? Does the news sometimes ruin the day? Here is a place where you can find uplifting, fun, and good news from people in our own community. Keep looking to your own life headlines for a smile!

Featured Headlines:

  • "I moved to Brooklyn (for a month!)"
    • Hannah - NY

  • "I Saw POTUS on Broadway!"
    • Erin - NY

  • "The best day of the year was this past week! The Summer Solsctice!"
    • Alex - NY

Hannah! Brooklyn sounds like so much fun! I hope you love your new place! Erin, POTUS was so funny! I am glad you got to see it! Finally, the summer solstice was lovely even though it was a lil' rainy and cloudy here!

Our news might be small but, it was good news! Want to be featured "In the Headlines"? Share your breaking news here to have the chance to be in the next newsletter!

OTHER NEWS:

The best day of the year to me is the summer solstice. It is the best day because it is the longest but it also represents SO MUCH MORE! People are sad that the days get shorter but, to me, it represents what is to come. Summer unofficially started around Memorial Day but, this day ushers in the true era of summer. Summer nights come in full swing, with the great vibes for sunsets and all the activities that go with it. I hope you all enjoy the start of summer!

It is pride weekend here in NYC! This weekend is going to be a lot of fun with so much celebration! Remember why we are celebrating though and that we do this because we need to do it to show people that it gets better. It is a fun weekend but also a culturally important weekend. Everyone have a safe and fun pride weekend if you are celebrating and if you are not ready or unable to celebrate remember, it gets better!

Thank you for reading this and if this brought a smile to your day, feel free to forward it on and spread the cheer! Don't forget the impact a little kindness can have. It can create lots of change!

'Til next time,

...alex is out
