How to review the first quarter of 2022

Vol. 2 Issue 3

Hello there,

Coming at you right in the middle of a very sunny May (yes I know I'm wayyyy behind on my newsletter schedule). What I've noticed is that regardless of whether you are enjoying your life or not, time passes. As a woman in her mid-twenties (yes, I'm in that odd age where I don't know if I should address myself as a girl or a woman?) the graph surely sways to and fro between peaceful and chaotic moments. And yet, time always seems to fly.

Even though time takes a single direction, not caring for whatever havoc wreaks during its passing, we as beings of a little bit of intellect, have the liberty to pause and look back on what has passed. We have the superpower of 'memory' - the ultimate antidote to time.

In this issue, I'm going to attempt to shed some light on how to pause, look back and observe. This sums up the basic meaning of reflection. Through reflection, it is possible for us to gain objective, valuable insight into our past and use that knowledge to carve out the path to our future.

Simply put, reflecting on your path can give you a little bit of clarity about your future.

Let's get to it then?

How to reflect on the first quarter of 2022:

Answer the following prompts for yourself and note them down somewhere.

  • What were some highlights in the first three months of 2022?
  • Describe the kind of person you were at the beginning of the year vs now. What has changed?
  • What were the goals/ resolutions you set for the new year?
  • How are they looking right now?
  • What were some of the most difficult moments you faced in the past 3 months?
  • How did you overcome them?
  • What did your typical day look like in each month?

How to review the first quarter of 2022:

Answer the following prompts for yourself and note them down somewhere.

  • How much would you rate the past three months out of 5 individually? Why?
  • How much would you rate the past quarter out of 5 as a whole? Why?
  • How have you grown as a person in the last quarter?
  • Do you think you are better off or worse off than you were 3 months ago? How so?
  • How have you done in terms of working towards your goals?
  • Has your life felt satisfactory in the first quarter of 2022?

Take time to answer these questions. Take a long, deep breath.

Now it's time to reset and get going. Time doesn't wait, remember?

More from me, next time!
