Your Morning Muse

Issue #4, May 11, 2020

Morning, Mondayers!

Is it still morning where you are? It's kind of still morning here. I know, I know, I got this newsletter out, like, minutes before AM becomes PM, but my weekend was booked solid. Lord knows I'm not going to let this quarantine keep me from living my life, making memories, and getting my to-do list out of the way. I spent every moment cleaning, cooking, and spending time with family. Saturday was spent with my in-law's and Sunday was spent with my family. It was SO needed. We ate great food, played games, laugh our butts off, and reminisced on the past a bit. And, of course, had fellowship.

What did you guys do for Mother's Day? Are there any tradition you take part in?

Aside from my eventful weekend, I've definitely been feeling sluggish. I haven't worked out in over a week. I have been going back and forth on what to write on for my next blog post. I've felt pretty aimless. I know I harped on this in one of my Instagram posts, but my inspiration seems to be non-existent.

The great thing about what's going on in the world, though, is that it's temporary, and this world is temporary. That may not seem very hopeful if you are not a Christian, but if you are, it's as hopeful as you can get.

We have eternal life with Jesus Christ to look forward too!

  CURRENT FAVES:

1. Sonia Kashuk's cute as heck marble make-up sponges!

$7.00

I cannot express my love enough for these little things. I've tried a lot of make up sponges over the years and none apply my make up easier or more evenly than this sponge! They are soft, a little bit bigger than a Beauty Blender (which makes for a better grip), and won't send you into debt. I also love a black + white marble look and it comes in a 2 pack. Can't get much better than that.

     2. Bodum Pavina Glass- aka your new fav iced coffee glass

$27.03

I found these gorgeous drinking glasses on an influencer's Instagram a couple weeks ago and fell in love instantly. At 12 oz, it fits just enough iced coffee while a making for the perfect Insta post accessory. It's sleek, it's chic, and the thick glass keeps your beverage cold. I use it every day!

3. Vital Proteins "Beauty Collagen" Powder- Strawberry Lemon

$19.99

The most refreshing good-for-you supplement out there! I love this powder because it forces me to drink more water. All you have to do is put 2 scoops into a large cup of water (or smoothie), mix it well, and BAM you have a yummy, light strawberry lemonade drink. It's packed with collagen, amino acids, fiber, protein, and other great stuff that strengthens your hair, nails, + joints. Think of summer in a glass.

4. The Daily Grace Co. It Is Well Weekly Bible Study

$5.00-$10.00

The Daily Grace Co. is a podcast, blog, and online store that aims to educate and encourage people through God's Word. They provide bible studies for men, women, and children, as well as totes, coffee mugs, journals, and more! I am currently doing the "It Is Well" study, which focuses on how to deal with fear and worry according to the scriptures. They do such a great job with getting straight to the point, while also going in depth with the question they ask at the end of each daily study. Not to mention their covers are gorgeous and their aesthetic is totally calming. Oh, and they're ALWAYS having sales! Check 'em out, you won't be disappointed.

MEDITATION SCRIPTURE:

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but might in God for pulling down strongholds,

casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ"

2 Corinthians 10:3-5
