Well what a track and field season it has been, congratulations to the all those that competed in the Les Davies Cup at the end of the season to bring home the spoils. Newport Harriers led from the front to win the prestigious cup and shows that we have some good youngsters coming through...

We now move into the XC season and many of us are starting back to begin our Winter training.... 

Congratulations to all our nominees for our junior and senior athletes awards that will be presented on our presentation evening on Friday 28th September please make sure all nominees are there as the winners are announced on the night.

Join Hour Club Newport Harriers....

Thanks to those that have joined already. We still have places left so don't be shy!

Can you spare just 1 hour to volunteer for your club in 2018.  We have over 500 members so imagine if we all just gave 1 hour of our time to help. 

Whether you are a member or parent please pledge here and offer your time to help support our great club. We do have a great team of volunteers however they are a dedicated team and small in number if big in heart.

Think what we could do with an extra 500 volunteer hours.  Don't worry we won't ask you to do anything you are not comfortable with and we will always support new volunteers so why not pledge your gift of time and email us your details.

We will contact you and keep you on our list of volunteers and let you know as and when we have opportunities that need filling and you can let us know if you are available

Finally....

Calling all Parents? 
 
We are looking for some parents to assist with coaching for the U9s and U11s on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5.30pm until 6.30pm
 
No experience necessary, training and support will be provided.  It would be ideal if you can commit to cover these slots on a regular basis to help Jean and the team support the children in these groups. We currently have a waiting list so the more the merrier.

Simples - to get added to a race report just email Pocket Rocket (pocketrocketwales@gmail.com) either directly or via your coach.  Happy to have text and images.
