Tickets for our first collaboration on the farm with Adventure Dinner on Tuesday, July 12th and Wednesday, July 13th are sold out but don't worry, there will be more adventures this fall. Since you receive our newsletter, you will be the first to know when tickets drop. Chef James and I are bringing our Chinese and Filipino heritage to the menu this time and I'll share the menu after the dinners next week. I don't want to spoil the adventure!

We have chickens ranging in age from 6 months to 3 years old, and the size of the egg corresponds. The older the chicken, the bigger the egg they lay. (Another fun part of getting old, right ladies?) You'll now notice we have 4 sizes of eggs—small ($4), medium ($5), large ($6), and extra-large ($7). The size and price are labeled on the carton in the cooler. Traditional recipes call for large eggs, which are approximately 2 ounces, or 3 1/2 tablespoons.
If you like twins, like we do around here, grab a carton of small or extra-large eggs, they have the highest probability of having a double yolk.
We happily take back our own egg cartons but prefer if you recycling cartons from other farms. Thank you!

Since opening our farm for the 2022 season, we have been partnering with Linda at Madam Cutler & Co. to offer superior knife sharpening services to our customers. Linda is on-site each Thursday during our CSA pick-up hours (3pm - 6pm), but her services are available for everyone, not just CSA members. Make sure to check out her website for more information on pricing and procedures.

Just last week, Kara, Zoe, and Emma finished installing tomato trellising, and all of our tomatoes are growing strong thanks to some much-needed sunny weather. We have also been preparing and maintaining the walkways between all of the production beds. In addition to helping with the overall aesthetics, it actually helps suppress and control weeds that seem to love to creep up everywhere. |

Basil White Chocolate Mousse Now that we are officially in summer mode, we wanted to share one of our newest dessert creations that will surely become one of your favorites, too. With its confectionary flavor, white chocolate blends well with the sweet, floral scent of basil that shines through in this surprisingly easy dessert. You can make this mousse up to 3 days in advance, and garnish it with fresh in-season strawberries and chopped candied nuts for a bit of a crunch.

Kieran and I are working really hard to be able to provide you with vegetables, flowers, eggs, poultry, and events on the farm, all while also making the property look good as you drive by. We're grateful to have incredible help from Kara, Zoe, Emma, and Jasmine too as we couldn't do it without them. It's no small feat and if you ever have suggestions of what you'd like to see in the store or events you'd like to attend, shoot me a note. If you've met me, you know I like to talk :) See you soon, |
