Madams Letter Hello 2022! I hope to see you at our January Membership Meeting on Monday, January 10th either in person or by WebEx. The meeting will be at the House of Omelets on Pine Island Road in Cape Coral. Doors open at 5:00pm and food and drink will be available. The Meeting will begin at 6:30pm. During the month of January, there will be several opportunities to participate in Committee Meetings, sort for the upcoming Bag ‘n Tag and Breakfast or to sign up to volunteer at upcoming events this Spring. Please note that the date of Bag ‘n Tag has been changed to Saturday, March 19th and details will be shared at the meeting. We have once again be selected by Winn-Dixie for their January Community Bags Program. That means that for every Community Bag purchased for $2.50, the Matlacha Hookers will receive $1.00. There are new designs and they are very durable and can be easily cleaned. Reusable Bags are now mandatory in many areas throughout the county as a simple way to reduce waste. It would be great start to 2022 to consider making that switch! Remember to bring TWO (2) items to donate to the Food Pantry each month, make a monetary donation. We’re off to a great start with one exception. We need a Secretary and no one ran for this Board position. Please consider serving this year and remember that it’s only a one year term and that you do not have to be a resident of Florida thanks to WebEx! Feel free to reach out to me if you would like to fill that position. Keep making a positive difference! Madam DJ |
