Life with Lily

Hi HI

Life with Lily Lite – the main stuff

News update – Been updating my websites this month, if you have time to check them out let me know what you think.

If you have any feedback give me a shout on Twitter.

Love was looking for their children:

Kindness was helping people,

Compassion was listening,

Understanding was mediating,

Faith was encouraging,

Hope was sharing joy,
Love stopped looking for their children,

they were out in the world making a difference,

like Love taught them

Lily’s Latest – my blog links etc

Just Imagine having the Recipe for Life so you had No Regrets and could manage your Mental Health.

You would be free to Tell Your Story, which I did on Ruth Loten’s blog.

In my summer break from uni I am going to work on improving my short story writing skills. Cheryl Burman’s blog post is well worth a read if you are unsure if this is worth spending time on.

Lily Loves – books, blogs and TV

Daylight Chasers by Rue Sparks has been added to Lily’s Library, it sits in the fiction section with Haven Wakes by Fi Phillips, the first book I found worthy of six stars.

If you like Quiet Endeavours, Jennifer Monroe’s Wednesday List might appeal. What three positive things would make your list this week?

I would do very well to match the patience of Paula Peckham’s granddaughter. Been a long time since I was 8!

If the rumours are true the 17th season of Greys Anatomy will be the last. I will miss watching the professional and private lives of the surgeons and interns of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. The ensemble cast have tackled a large raft of subjects over the years and broken a few records. I have learnt a few things from my favourite show.

Lillipedia – tips and tricks Lily style

If you are starting out on social media, you need a bio which says briefly who you are and why you are on the platform. Include a photo, ideally of you. If you really can’t face the idea (been there!) use a quote, your book cover, your pet, a landscape, an image, anything but our little grey friend because that equals bot and you are human aren’t you?

If writing is your jam let the #WritingCommunity on Twitter know so they can follow you. Followers mean interaction which means learning stuff from others as well as a chance to promote yourself and your work. I have made some great friends on Twitter I wouldn’t be without.

When you get set up on Twitter get a pinned post (you can pin posts on Facebook too). Some people will RT (retweet) a pinned post when they follow you. It’s also a thing in the #WritingCommunity to trade RT for RT of pinned posts. A pinned post is the main thing you are focussing on right now; one of your books, a poll, your latest blog post, a post for that days pitch party, the list goes on. You can only pin one post but you can save the pinned posts to your bookmarks so you swap between them.

To find out more about me read my interview with Cheryl Burman because you can’t have too much Lily in your life.

Till the next time - take care
