Netflix & Chill may have been way less interesting without the invention of Mexican engineer Guillermo González Camarena. In 1940, he invented an early color television transmission system. His system, the "chromoscopic adapter for television equipment," made color broadcasting more accessible and was used in TV transmissions in Mexico and the U.S.
