Lots of young people in coffee growing regions are not taking over the generational work of coffee production. The future of coffee growing is in the hands of the next generation of young coffee producers who are embarking on this journey and our commitment to support them along the way. Our friends at Unblended are working to solve this crisis for the future of Specialty Coffee and we are thrilled to offer a unique subscription that we believe can help us do our part as a roaster and you as a customer.
We envision a supply chain that is fully integrated, in which the consumers and producers can work together and know one another.
The Next Generation Coffee Subscription is an exclusive coffee partnership with Unblended Coffee who has built a community of young coffee producers through their UVI program (Unblended & Ventola Institute). UVI is a program that focuses on building the brand and business of each young coffee producer through direct mentorship with older coffee producers and business professionals.
The monthly subscription will include the following:
1. One twelve ounce bag of the UVI Cohadas, which is the cooperative blend of all of the UVI members. This coffee is a beautiful representation of the hard work and dedication to Specialty Coffee the UVI program is fostering.
2. One twelve ounce bag of a particular UVI members coffee so you can experience the different processing methods and unique creations produced through this program.
3. A quarterly zoom call with the Unblended team as well as select UVI members to offer a moment to "meet" the producers who are creating these beautiful coffees.
4. Post cards in each shipment to send your encouragement directly to the producers.
