Geek Week is finally here! Starting this Friday, and coinciding with Rose City Comic Con (RCCC), Portland is hosting an plethora of events and we're ready for it. We technically kicked it off a bit early with our Cheers to 50 Years scavenger hunt at the Portland Saturday Market last weekend, but our big Passport to the Infinite Staircase event starts in earnest this Friday at noon. Our GMs are running a grand total of 38 Dungeons & Dragons sessions across ten days, covering seven different one-shots scaling from level 2 to 20. We have a few seats left and some pretty fun prizes planned based on the number of sessions survived, so come relive some of D&D's most iconic adventures with us! (Along with a special capstone battle from Isaac...) In addition to the games themselves, you can find us at: A special 6 PM Monday Open Paint Night we're hosting with Board Bard Games and Corvid Creations; BBG is setting up a special miniature display at TPK, we'll have all the supplies you need to paint up something awesome, and CC will be there sharing professional miniature painting tips
We're also giving away Val'Ruvina snelk (snailfolk) keychains to anyone who shows us their RCCC badge, we have special themed cocktails (alcoholic and N/A), and a special throwback sticker to commemorate the occasion. Unsurprisingly, we think the idea of a city-wide geek week is pretty fun, so we hope you'll join us in making it a success! |

Year one is (almost) in the books! |

We're getting close to our one year anniversary (and wrapping up Book One: Echoes of a Forgotten World of our house campaign), which means a few things: We'll be closed to the public Friday, 9/20, and Saturday, 9/28, from 4:30 PM onward for the campaign finales
If you're interested in joining Chapter 5 of The Leyfarer's Chronicle, please reply to this email letting us know! We're still sorting out the campaign schedule for next chapter and may be able to squeeze in a couple additional adventurers. As Book One: Echoes of a Forgotten World comes to its conclusion, the campaign's focus shifts from the remnants of the past age to the dreams and aspirations of those who created the current one. Book Two: The Dreams We Guarded raises questions about legacy, intention, and those who currently use their influence to shape the world. In Chapter 5: The Lies of Dinara Tiv, the Chronicle begins acting erratically, eliciting the return of the Leyfarers to the place where everything started, in search of stories that have been kept hidden for one hundred years. |

Yes, yes, we mentioned it in the last newsletter, but we get asked about kids games a lot and just wanted to make sure everyone heard the news: we'll be hosting on-going D&D games for the 10-16 age range starting in October! There are currently five slots, although that's likely to change as we find what works best with school schedules: We also still have room in two kid-friendly one-shots for our Intro Day @ TPK on 9/22: Cantrip with Kristina. "Cantrip is a Belonging Outside Belonging game about young witches attending a magical academy. Taking cues from Little Witch Academia, The Owl House and high school anime, as well as Witch Hat Atelier and Discworld’s Unseen University, players will build the world together during play, make trouble, learn magic, fall in love, make friends and try to make it through a full school year." Ages 13+ Magical Kitties Save the Day with Dana. Magical Kitties Save the Day is one of our top retail sellers, but we haven't gotten the chance to run a game yet! "An all-ages roleplaying game of cute, fierce, cunning kitties. Use your magical powers to solve problems and save humans from terrible troubles!" Ages 8+

The Lantern Festival is an event from our campaign world of Val'Ruvina marking the end of Sojourner's Rest, a time of year when the borders between planes are thinnest. It's a time of spirits and dreams, of remembrance, and of hopes for the future. |
