It's already mid-November, which means it's nearly your last chance to place orders for custom illustrations. All custom orders must be placed by December 1st to guarantee that they will be illustrated, reviewed, approved, printed, in the mail and on their way to you for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, the Winter Solstice, or any other gift-giving winter celebration. Any orders placed after December 1st will still reach you eventually, but may not be ready until after the New Year.

I was recently hired by my brother-in-law's company, Jastal Plumbing, to illustrate and design their winter billboard ad. The last time I visited my family, I had just wrapped up my beer can designs for Arvon and was showing them off; Dave liked the concepts and character designs so much that he wanted a similar scene for this ad. The idea we came up with together was to advertise tankless water heaters by showing a cutaway of a house with a family waiting in line to use the bathroom, contrasting the warm indoor scene with the cold snowy outdoors.

This is perhaps the largest and most visible my work has ever been. Keep an eye out for it during the next few months if you're in Northeast Ohio driving on 43 from Aurora toward Streetsboro!
