We are delighted to announce that DAN DEWHIRST will be joining us for The Great Con-Junction in November! Dan Dewhirst is best known amongst Dark crystal fans for his role in the Netflix series 'The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance' where he performs the iconic Garthim. Dan is the only Garthim we see at the very end of the series. He also has a main-cast credit as 'Joe' in the feature film 'Goodbye Mr. Vampire'. Other credits include smaller roles in Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus', Paul McGuigan's 'Victor Frankenstein' and many other TV and film productions. Dan has also done a lot of stunt work in his career and is the Founder of industry charity initiative 'Lose Waste'. A free service that collects leftover food/products from the entertainment industry and redistributes it out to the homeless. Dan is currently gearing up for his mega 'Climb for Conservation' to raise money for the Born Free charity, Dan will be climbing Africa’s second highest peak, Mt Kenya. Born Free work tirelessly to ensure that all wild animals, whether living in captivity or in the wild, are treated with compassion and respect. They work across the world to preserve, protect and rescue wild animals in need |

This shot of the Mystics making their pilgrimage to the castle was a long and very painful shoot for the mystic performers. Having spent a long time in that crouch position holding their hands up and carrying all that weight of the puppets. After a tiring and gruelling shoot, they were so glad it was over..only to find out the next day that the recording was faulty and they had to do it all over again! |
