We would like to thank everyone who has supported the Bloomshine Foundation, which was established to honor the music and memory of Ansel Evan Clayburn. Through your purchase of The Space Cadet Shipwreck record and your donations, we will continue Evan's charitable endeavors to aid wounded veterans and the arts. This has meant the world to us.

As a thank you, we thought we would share a part of Evan. Below is a music video for A Fancy Rollerskater from Evan's debut album The Space Cadet Shipwreck, which is still available for pre-order on limited-edition colored vinyl.

We hope you enjoy this video and the wonderful memory of Evan.

A Fancy Rollerskater directed by Matthew Harrison

"Only Ansel could’ve convinced our whole band and crew to get up before sunrise for a music video shoot on the beach! Always observing, I remember him remarking how cool it was that the director, Matthew Harrison, was able to take those candid clips of us and sculpt them into a narrative. None of us were actors; we were just bumming around the beach for an hour—but Ansel later walked me through the underlying narrative that he perceived from the final edit. He was the protagonist, Adam the cool guy, Andy unobservant, and I was the blasé friend that wanted him to “get over” the Fancy Rollerskater! He would always crack up talking about how I wiped out every time we ran a different direction in that Hard Days Night–esque overhead shot. I think those burnt-up skates are still sitting on the Santa Monica pier."

— Justin David, Evan's longtime friend and bandmate, on the filming of the video
