Notes from Community Council Meeting 8/6/24

Community Budget Requests (CBR) projects

PRCC has opportunity to submit up to 3 community projects for consideration in the proposed City of Cincinnati FY26/27 budget.

At Tuesday's public meeting, the community offered many suggestions for potential projects including:

  • Renovation of 1000 Hands Park playground and surrounding area

  • Street calming and infrastructure improvements on Woodford

  • Additional/improved gateway signage at the entrances to Pleasant Ridge

  • Improvements to the CRC outdoor recreation areas, including adding permanent restrooms and new water fountains

  • Expanding the sidewalk space between the fire house and PRM

  • Building a community dog park

  • Installing visual barriers at busy traffic intersections/community buildings to slow traffic and add space between people and traffic

  • Requesting an updated neighborhood master plan

    • Most recent PR plan was approved in 2016, can be found here

The next step is for PRCC to meet with City department contacts to discuss the project ideas and get more information on which have the best chance for funding.

At the next public meeting on Tuesday, Sept 3rd, we will hold a vote to decide the final 3 projects to submit. Please attend in person to ensure your vote counts!
