The Adventure Continues …
This week I travel to Massachusetts with wife Vicki to catch a flight to Brazil for a four-week break with my son Chris and daughter-in-law Sony. They have a condo on the beach and 600 hectares (about 1500 acres) of farmland, a few hours away. About twenty years ago, I visited there, but it's the first time for Vicki. I'm packing a sketch book and watercolor kit, so I'll most likely have some drawings to share when I return.
I'm sure a lot has changed. Sony's parents are now gone, her siblings will, of course, be much older and their children are now adults. I'm hopeful that the roads to the farm will be better, because I remember them as really bad. When it rained, they were almost a non-existing path of mud and clay slime.
While I'm away, I invite you to check out my piece "Hollyhocks" in northeast Minneapolis at Pintura Studios annual Floral show, opening March 18.
In Hayward, visit the gallery at Out of Woods Winery, where Majestic One, 19 x 26, oil on board is exhibiting through March 31.
Stay tuned to my Facebook account for updates and photos of beautiful southern Brazil.
