I pray this week ahead is full of peace, happiness, new beginnings and new stories. The way we live our lives is by the events we encounter and how we decide to overcome the obstacles placed before us. I wrote about changing your mindset a couple of weeks ago. In order for us to rewrite our story a change/renewed mindset has to happen first. You must learn a new way to think before you can master a new way to be. There's a difference between how we respond and show up in life when we view our story as one of failure or as one of overcoming.
When rewriting our story we must remember that we are the MAIN character in our story. We have to decide what role we play. Are we the hero or the underdog? As for me I consider myself to be both. I am the underdog because my story didn't start out with a pretty beginning, but I still continue to be a Shero (a woman admired or idealized for her courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities) in other people story. I had to get out of my head and remember it was my time to shine as the daughter of a Kingdom. That only happened once I allowed GOD to be front & center to direct, guide and change my mindset.
Protected babes, I need you to make a conscious decision to learn a new way to think, so you can master a new way to be. Before any of us can become a master, we must first be a student. Understand who you are taking lessons from. Is it man or GOD? Society can be influential on how we live our lives if we allow it to. We engage in different view points and opinions daily especially with social media. Cultivating a sound mind and being still can allow us to learn and listen to the creator instructions that will prepare us to walk and authentically live the plan that's created over our lives. Are you living a story of defeat and failure or of one of miracles with GOD by your side?
Once you decide that you will rewrite your story, I encourage you to develop a sense of passion. What is passion anyway? Passion is a strong emotion or feeling that allows you to tap into your creativity and co-create your life the creator intended for you to live. Well at least that's what I think passion is. It's a gift that is different for everyone, but yours is uniquely designed specifically for you. Passion is what trumps fear and the mindset of lack or not feeling that our gifts are enough. Start asking GOD to reveal your gifts to you. Waking up being able to live your life according to the way the creator intended is a blessing in itself that many don't grasp or take for granted. To wake up in the morning is the first blessing of
the day and to be able to have something that fuels for a purpose outside of yourself is what passion really is.
