One of the writerly organizations I belong to is the IASFA, the International Association of SFF Authors. It's not only a cool organization because it's run by Craig Martelle, the guy behind the 20BooksTo50K organization and convention and lets me connect with other science fiction and fantasy authors, but because it has a nifty monthly newsletter with all sorts of opportunities for readers to connect with new science fiction and fantasy authors and try them out through free stories and books. Right now, for example, there's fourteen, yes fourteen, free fantasy stories you can get. You can sign up for the newsletter here, but even if you don't go through that process, you can still grab any or all of the short stories here.
