Hey there, friend!

How are you getting your hug jar filled up these days??

We got to visit our birthday boys earlier this month and see firsthand what their college protocols are for this pandemic season. We accessorized with our Baylor masks and made the most out of the limitations we had - - - patio seating, take-out, and even college dining tents.

I snagged as many Mom hugs as I could get out of the perpetual back-and-forth handoffs of groceries and command hooks. (There never seems to be enough of either of those in a college dorm room!) We met roommates and suitemates, spoiling them with some homemade cookies and oatmeal squares.

It's hard on a momma's heart not to be with a child on his birthday, but it's part of the individuating process for them and the releasing process for us. Our guys take it all in stride, which helps ease into this transition gently. They have friends to acknowledge them in unique ways on their special days...and then they get to return the favor when their friends' bdays roll around later this year.

 September birthdays slide us right into Fall. I'm looking forward to the renewal that the cooler weather and lush colors bring. How about you?

Is your garden in transition, too?

Seems like I'm always learning something from my little garden patch.

Space to Grow

We're halfway through our series on Trust this month. I've been trudging along on my path this month, carrying some weighty petitions to the Lord. These verses keep fortifying my journey and I hope they're reassuring you, too. Uncertainty is a tricky thing and I'm getting some good "practice" in trusting God with each next step.

Whether or not you have time this month to create a #biblequiltjournal page, these verses can lift you up just by reading them or enjoying others' pages. I think they're going to be a go-to for me for years to come!

Trust -> Submit to God

We are all in different stages of our faith and the Lord is working on us in different ways.

Unfinished BQJ pages remind me that I am "in progress," too, & allow me to have time for reflection/insight until I'm able to work on them again. Trust the process, friends. God's got this!
