Our Class Schedule

Oil Free Presto Pesto

 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups packed fresh basil 
  • 3 Tbsp walnuts
  • 3 large cloves garlic, peeled
  • 2 T lemon juice
  • 3-4 T nutritional yeast
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt, plus more to taste
  • 3 T water (plus more as needed)

Instructions

Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor, blend until creamy.  You may need to scrape the sides or add more water as needed.   Use it on pizza, sandwiches, or toss it with hot pasta! 

 

Making Healthy Changes 

 

A study recently published in Circulation took 53 healthy but sedentary middle-aged adults and had them perform high- and moderate-intensity aerobic training four or more days a week for two years. The results showed significant improvements in how their bodies used oxygen as well as less stiffness in the heart.
