PRAISE and PRAYER REQUESTS: 

Italy for the month of August shots down. Most stores and businesses close for the better part of the month and people go on vacation. Ministry always slows down in August b/c Italians disappear and spend as much time at the beach as possible - they are on a peninsula afterall.

We are rearranging our schedule for the month and would like to ask you to pray for us for some special projects that we will be working on throughout the month. 

Church Association:  please pray we can formulate all the necessary documents and requirements in order to create the legal association for the new church plant - this permits us to rent a hall for worship and get permits for group evangelism.

Church Hall:  please pray we can locate and work out a deal for a good hall in a good location to use for our Sunday worship gatherings and hosting free Conversational ESL classes.

ESL classes and teachers:  please pray we can organize some free small group conversation ESL classes to reach more people, build relationships and proclaim the Gospel. Pray also for some potential ESL teachers to come and serve for 3 months.

Cell Group:  please pray for Jesse as he puts together an 8-part series of studies on the Doctrines of Grace and that we can have a good turnout for when we begin in mid-September.

Sermon Prep:  please pray for Jesse as he puts together sermon outlines for the next 6 months so he can dedicate more time to evangelism after August.

Church Site: please pray for us to be able to get up and going the new website for the new church plant. Church websites in Italy serve a different purpose than in the US but they are still important to have.

Refeshment:  please pray we can have also some quality family time and time of refreshement in the Lord.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

I say it often and it's worth repeating - it would do us all good to remember these verses bc it reminds us that God is far above us, He does what He pleases, we don't have Him figured out, we will forever learn more of God, and of particular importance He remains sovereign over salvation - saving who He wants, when He wants and how He wants.

May our hearts bow before Him always in humble adoration for who He is and what He has done for our salvation. If you are born again He has already done more than you could ask or dream!
