WELCOME DIANE RODGERS, SJCLT'S NEW PROGRAM & STEWARDSHIP MANAGER

After an extensive recruiting effort, SJCLT has hired Diane Rodgers to be it's first Program & Stewardship Manager. Diane has an extensive work history in the non-profit human services sector. She spent much of her career working for Volunteers of America in California and Nevada as the Director of Operations for numerous low-income housing facilities and shelters. Her undertakings included creating more affordable housing, leading people from crisis to stability, and creating support services for those in need. Throughout Mrs. Rodgers's career, her focus has always been to guide those to their full potential, increase self-worth, and strengthen communities by providing a design and outline for individuals to be self-sufficient.

Diane's experience will be very important as SJCLT continues to expand its programs and projects to expand and preserve permanently affordable housing for the Tahoe Basin's employees and full-time residents.

TAHOE (Tahoe Affordable Home Ownership Enabling) PROGRAM COMING SOON

SJCLT'S Tahoe Program seeks to help income-qualified households purchase an existing home that will become permanently affordable using the community land trust model. The program launch has been delayed due to impacts of COVID-19 however, SJCLT will be implementing an educational outreach program to the area's real estate brokers, escrow officers and lenders in the very near future so these parties will be familiar with the program.

The program has received much attention and we hope to launch the program early in 2021.
