In a world of uncertainty, God’s grace is the beacon of hope we can offer those who find themselves in a situation of seeming hopelessness. Our joy is to love the one in front of us, while inviting them into a “stream” of grace and hope that helps to alleviate the circumstance they find themselves in. Grace could be defined as “God's life, power and righteousness given to us by unmerited favor.” It is through grace that God works effective change in our hearts and lives.
Our Vision at House of Grace Pregnancy Centre is to foster a community of Grace where no woman, man or family, faces the effects of an unexpected pregnancy alone. A place where God's grace is experienced, empowering them to process their fears and griefs in a safe place, with dignity and hope.
Our Mission (the how of what we do), is to offer accurate information and compassionate support to those impacted by an unexpected pregnancy, which includes emotional and spiritual help, coupled with practical helps and education.
To date, a community of grace has formed beginning with our Staff, Volunteers, and Board of Directors. This community has been built with values such as honesty, integrity, responsibility and safety. It is here within this story that clients are invited to trust us with their lives, their story, and their situations. It is here that relationships of trust are being built and God is working to change hearts and lives.
A vision for the future will require grace from all of us towards those who find themselves in an unexpected pregnancy and for those who have gone through abortion. Transformation in our lives first through God's life, power and righteousness, given to us by His unmerited favor, can then translate into addressing these issues with those who find themselves in a vulnerable position.
At House of Grace, we provide options support including accurate information about pregnancy, abortion, adoption and parenting. Our hope is that our future can include grief support for ALL areas of pregnancy loss, as well as programs for sexual health and support for women through social interaction & education groups. This will require additional staff, as well as resources, in order for us to service our community well.
