Auditions for both ONCE ON THIS ISLAND & THE CRUCIBLE will now take place on the same day!
How is that going to work? 🤔🤔So glad you asked! On October 17th, ALL students auditioning will meet in the Gym for pre-audition instructions with Mr. Cooper and Mr. Beaman. Students participating in the dance call audition for Once On This Island will follow Mr. Cooper and the students auditioning for The Crucible will follow Mr. Beaman. Once the Dance Call is finished, Once On This Island auditioners will then go to Mr. Beaman for their Crucible cold read.
This will all be explained at the pre-audition meeting in the gym with Mr. Beaman and Cooper so there will be no confusion as to who goes where.
Students in the cast & crew of The Great Comet folks will read first for The Crucible. Those auditioning for Once On This Island will be excused from Great Comet rehearsals that day! Vocal Call for Once On This Island will be held on October 18 and callbacks for The Crucible will be on October 19th. Clear as mud? Great!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns with conflicts, please be sure to reach out to Mr. Cooper (OOTI) or Mr. Beaman (Crucible) before the audition. Keep your eyes peeled on the Theatre Teams page for score selections, sides and additional details to come. In the meantime, break a leg and enjoy some much needed rest and relaxation on the teacher planning day on Monday, October 16th. |

THANK YOU to our DA Theatre Booster Volunteers for being such an integral part of the DA Theatre experience! We are so appreciative for all the amazing new volunteers who assisted with Over the Tavern. It was so encouraging to see almost all of the SignUp Genius slots filled, not to mention, all the additional support we received on each performance night! Our next big volunteer sign up will be for the musical Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 . This show will take place in the Lawrence DuBow Theatre. As a result, we will need TWICE the support. Add in the silent auction and it will be an event you will NOT want to miss. Please keep an eye out for emails from datheatreboostersvolunteer@gmail.com, and continue to follow our Facebook and Instagram pages, for your next opportunity to be a part of the magic! |
