Spot on reading! An easy but highly effective read. Everything that should be said, was said. Author should up the ante ante and increase the storyline and amount of pages. GREAT read!

Well done.
I do not leave many reviews, however I got this book a while back and just wanted to say I really enjoy this quick read. I loved every thing about this book. It is great to hear about other cultures, and the way thy look at them self.

I know this book should be in schools for all of our children to read about and embrace other children with all kind of different types of hair.
It is well illustrated. It is a quick, easy and a short read.

Just wish I had some children or grandchildren to share it with.

We done. I really love the lay out I have not came across such a neat lay out. I would love to find out how it was done.

I like this book for my five year old...the only thing I desire would be more words...maybe a little more history of who these kingly people with kinky hair are...(my solution was to show my five year old different videos and have little chats with him...his favorite person is Shaka Zulu)

Bjork y grandson loved it. He's growing his hair out so he can wear it different styles. He likes cornrows sometimes.

This book helps children to love their hair by smartly comparing black role models and leader that were in positions of power, very smart concept to give children great self esteem.
