Ambassadors
Calling all junior leaders! Do you love 4-H? Do you want to meet other 4-Hers like you? If so, apply to be a 4-H Ambassador! The Racine County 4-H Ambassadors meet once a month and plan outreach activities to spread the word about 4-H throughout the county. It's a ton of fun, and a great way to get more involved in 4-H while also making new friends. The Ambassadors do activities such as walking in parades, helping at the 4-H open house and at the fair, and planning Leadership Retreat (a fun camp for junior leaders). If these sound like things you'd be interested in doing, don't hesitate to apply. Here is the link to access the application: https://racine.extension.wisc.edu/4-h-youth-development/4-h-forms-and-documents/ambassador-application-2022/ Junior Leader Service Project Tucker Jr. Leaders & Parents! For several years, the Junior Leaders and their parents have joined together to pick apples at a private apple orchard. In past years we have picked around 25 boxes of fresh apples which are donated to the Racine Food Pantry. We will meet this year on Sunday, September 11th at 1pm. This exquisite orchard is located at 18000 93rd Street, Bristol, WI 53104. The property owners prefer only older youth (7th grade and up), no younger siblings please. Also, keep in mind that there is no bathroom on site. It is an excellent activity and you can even bring home some of the sensational apples! |

Mini Officer Program Tucker has Junior Leaders who are 7th grade and above. Some years the Junior Leaders would like a little extra help so we started the Mini Officer program. Mini Officers help with things like pledges, making thank you notes and get well cards, helping at the attendance table, and possibly shadowing an Officer. It's a great opportunity for kids to start stepping up and taking some leadership roles with guidance. Please let a Junior Leader know if you are interested. |

October Meeting Come one, come all for our club's Halloween carnival on Monday, October 10th. The carnival will take place after the October general meeting which is at 7:00 pm. We encourage you to wear your Halloween costume, as well. There will also be a Chilli Supper after the meeting. A sign-up genius will be sent out before the meeting so that families can sign up to bring chilli and toppings. Carnival game suggestions will be gladly considered. We can't wait to see all of your fabulous Halloween costumes! |

Kiwanis Award I encourage everyone to take part in the Kiwanis award. It is a super fun award that is put on by the local Kiwanis to support 4-H. To participate in the opportunity to win this award you need to fill out an application form that can be found on the extension website under Kiwanis Youth Program Award Application 2022. Why did you participate in this project? What have you learned from this project that you will use in the future? Describe another 4-H experience that you had and what it has taught you.
