Incline Run Art Celebration Oct. 7th Have you seen the new Incline Run? The 550’ Incline Run is a shared-use trail connecting the neighborhoods of Lower and East Price Hill. The closed section of Maryland Avenue was in a state of disrepair for more than 30 years severing a vital physical and social connection between the neighborhoods. Over the last year, Price Hill Will – with help from the Devou Good Foundation, the City of Cincinnati’s Safe & Clean Neighborhood Fund, the Ohio Arts Council ArtSTART grant, and the Homebase Mini Neighborhood Activation grant – has been curating and overseeing multiple placemaking and art initiatives along the pathway. |

To commemorate the first batch of art installations, we plan to hold a community celebration on Thursday, October 7th from 2:00-4:30PM at the Incline Run (2623 Maryland Avenue 45204). On-street parking for the event can be found on the North end of Maryland Avenue or on Mt. Hope Avenue. The event will begin with a short program followed by an open house with art activities, food, and drink. |

PROJECT & PROGRAM UPDATES |
MYCincinnati Starts This Month! Our 11th season starts on October 4th, from 4-6pm daily! We can hardly contain our excitement to see students in person and make music together after over a year apart! The safety and health of our students continues to be our top priority, which is why masks are required for all students, staff, and teaching artists during the program, as well as social distancing through alternating pods spread out across the MYCincinnati Firehouse and ARCO. |

American Rescue Plan Grant |
A huge THANK YOU to the City of Cincinnati and ArtsWave for making an American Rescue Plan award available for our 11th season. Arts are a vital economic driver in communities and essential to Price Hill’s healing and recovery. Thanks to their support, our 100+ students will have continued access to free music education, and a safe place to express themselves! |

Hammer Time! We are very excited that construction will begin on our Warsaw Avenue Creative Campus later this fall! The renovations will start with interior clean-out and stabilization work at 3110-3112 Warsaw Ave. The building has a lot of termite damage in the first-floor joists and flooring, so construction crews will be focused on replacing damaged wood and stabilizing the building. Next we will start renovations on 3108 and 3114 Warsaw Ave. Listen to our discussion on Cincinnati Edition WVXU to learn more and how you can get involved! |

Homesteading Stories Our Homesteading program is a vehicle to homeownership for families that do not have access to credit through conventional means and are willing to put in sweat equity and improve their home. Currently there are 15 homesteading families working to restore their houses. Olivares and Maritza moved into their home with their three children in September 2017. Since then, they have performed numerous improvements to their property including painting of all interior rooms, plumbing improvements, basement renovation, kitchen remodeling, and a new roof. They have also made improvements to the landscaping, specifically taking down a large problematic tree, sculpting shrubbery, installing a fence and planting flowers. They are the first homeowners in their family and next year will have completed all of their payments. Then they can access the equity in their home to send kids to school, purchase a vehicle, or make other investments for their future. We are always looking for Price Hill houses that may be good candidates for our Homesteading Program. There is a waitlist of families in need of homesteading opportunities. |
