Recent Activities

Lunar New Year Celebrations

Belonging Books took the lead for The Art & Justice Collective's third house party on January 21, 2023. So many people from the community came out to celebrate, support and experience something unique to the Cape. Personally, it was very special for me and for my family, and from the feedback that I received, for other Asian families on the Cape too!

Thank you again to our incredible volunteers, to Cassandra Jones who played beautifully on the gu zheng, to Hung Gar Kung Fu and Lion Dance Academy who came from Quincy, and to SiFu Cruz and his students from USA Kung Fu Academy. Photo Credits: Mara Araujo

ArtPeaceMakers Community Art Show

I was invited to pop up at the ArtPeaceMakers Community Art Show reception where local school students and community members of all ages created art following the theme of “Take a Stand Against Racism & Discrimination.”

Cape Cod Toy Library Chinese New Year Program

Cape Cod Toy Library invited me to participate in their Chinese New Year Family Day program. It was so great to meet Lei, one of the volunteers, and continue to build an incredible community here.
