A MITA update:

Firstly, our hearts go out to anyone facing illness or other hardships during this worldwide crisis. Adjustments to MITA's plans feel pretty minor in the scope of things, but we’d still like to share what is/isn't happening for now.

Remainder of March – CANCELLED: 3/20 at Logan’s Irish Pub and 3/21 at Art and Performance Center of West Toledo.

NOTE: Support the wonderful folks at Logan’s who are still providing amazing food for takeout! Also, APCWT has been doing great things for the Toledo area arts community. Connect with them on Facebook to keep up with future events and see how you can help this small business!

April and beyond -- BREWERY TOUR: We have been very excited about officially announcing our first full-fledged tour (see flyer above) and wish we could have done so under better circumstances. As our fellow independent musicians may know, planning a tour takes a lot of time, networking, emails/calls, planning, and finger-crossing to put together. We’ll be very disappointed to cancel any of it, but it looks more and more likely that at least some (if not all) of it will be impacted. As we get closer, we’ll work with the venues and monitor the alerts/recommendations from the CDC and other organizations to determine if it is possible or in the public interest to continue with these shows. We are hopeful we can work with the venues to reschedule any cancelled dates.

How to help – There are countless ways to help those impacted by this crisis. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Follow the CDC guidelines and do your part to help keep others safe.
  • Donate goods or funding to food pantries. Find your local pantry here.
  • Support your local restaurants and businesses when possible. Delivery, takeout, or curbside options are still available at many places!
  • Order merchandise from full-time musicians/artists. Many are taking a big loss from cancelled performances. MITA saxophonist, Mike Williams, is one of these full-time musicians and has some great merch options available at mikewilliamsonsax.com.
  • From now until we can perform live again, order a Moths in the Attic CD or digital download and we’ll donate 100% to No Kid Hungry to help children in need of meals due to school closures or family financial burdens.

Near future – We have some things in the works (maybe some live stream performances?), so keep in touch on our social media pages! We hope to play for you again soon. Until then, stay safe, be well, and take care of one another.

The music video for "Chase Away the Ghost" is out now! MITA couldn't be happier with the support for this project as it hit over 1.5k views in the first week!

"Chase Away the Ghost" is the second single from the Moths in the Attic debut album. Directed by John Fleischmann and starring Kirsten Koschnitzke and Zack Jacobs, the video conveys an emotional tale of love and loss, mourning and comfort, and how we can use the memories of what we've lost to find a way to heal.

Check out a feature for the video in Vents Magazine and watch it below:

MITA was recently interviewed for a feature on BCAN's Rise Up! The segment starts around the 7:20 mark, but watch the full episode for great coverage of Toledo area music!

MITA's debut album is available to stream/download now at mothsintheattic.com and Bandcamp, or order a physical copy here! A portion of all album sales go to National Alliance on Mental Illness.
