MSWG in 2023

• Membership for 2023 was 92 and 83 in 2022.

• 2024 Membership renewals at the end of December 2023 are 53 - below the 62 in 2022.

• The 2023 Holiday Auction brought in $500 more than in 2022.

• MSWG Holiday Party had a record attendance of 48.

• Treasurer’s report – we broke even in 2023.

• Pink Palace Craft Fair – 2023 total net profit to the club was down by $825 compared to 2022.

• MSWG held 12 monthly meetings in 2023 (3 IRDs, 8 member demonstrations, 1 holiday party).

• 2023 was the first year for a monthly President’s Challenge with awards/levels.  Participating members earned 5 Super Star, 2 Gold, 2 Silver, and 4 Bronze awards.

• There were 12 MSWG Board of Directors meetings.

• MSWG had public demonstrations at Delta Fair, Art in the Loop, and Pink Palace Craft Fair.

• MSWG provided one special speaking event at the Collierville Morton Museum for the Keith Burns Retrospective.

• MSWG members made 79 Wig Stands in 2023, an increase of 24% over 2022.

• MSWG members made and delivered 125 Pens for Troops in 2023 - a decrease of 34 % over 2022’s 190 pens.

• MSWG held 2 Turn-Ins during 2023 (1 wig stands, 1 Pens for Troops) and 2 Hand-On Classes (Milk Paint and Scrimshaw)

• MSWG successfully kept membership informed with 10 Turner’s Talks, 29 What’s Happening, and various informational emails.

• MSWG published 25 new photo galleries for a total of 432 photos on the website.

• And one truly random factoid:  Members consumed 506 donuts or over 150,000 calories during club gatherings.
