Reciprocity is woven into the fabric of Nature; it is one of the most natural things that we can embody as humans. We breathe so the trees can receive our carbon dioxide, just as they breathe so that we can receive their oxygen.

In our most natural state, we support one another effortlessly in thriving.

Here at Be the Earth we are actively aware of the intimate connection that we share with all of life, from the mycelium that join hands in the soil beneath our feet, to the birds flying high in the sky dispersing seeds across the lands.

This month we wanted to share with you some of the ways we have been in reciprocity with our very own network (as well as two amazing upcoming retreats!).

Sacred Land Retreat at 42 Acres - July 29th-31st

3 days of regeneration of body, mind and soul in Enchanted Somerset

 Under the meteor showers radiating from the constellation Aquarius we will gather in a nourishing and empowering retreat of connection to soil, soul and society. Facilitated by renowned activist Satish Kumar and a selection of experienced staff at 42 Acres, Be The Earth's Sacred Land and Wholesome Food retreat will offer practical and soulful tools for regeneration through connection with nature. 

It will be a three-day programme combining deep immersion in the natural world, workshops on regeneration through food, experiential nature-based activities and storytelling fuelled by hyper-local, biodynamic and wild food grown with love.

This unique experience is presented by Be the Earth and supported by Resurgence Trust.  

Blossom Impact Accelerator - Applications Close May 14th

Our brand new Blossom Impact Accelerator is still open for applications!

Blossom is a free Be the Earth programme that aims to support UK-based food businesses who are dreaming up and restructuring our local food systems. The programme is designed to build the capacity of impact-driven founders, create pathways to sustainable finance, and strengthen the network of businesses that are passionate about local and regenerative food systems.

On July 5th, 15 successful ventures will come together on the land at our sister organisation, 42 Acres, to commence the journey before attending in-person sessions in London, weekly online workshops, 1:1 mentorship, a live pitch competition to a room full of investors with a guaranteed cash prize, and be given access to Be the Earth’s £1M Blossom investment pot.

Creating Post Capitalist Futures is a course aimed towards anyone who wishes to create a deeper collective understanding of the current crisis moment, how we situate ourselves within it, and how to cultivate practices to deepen empathy, resilience, and collective liberation. 

The course will help cultivate equity consciousness, expose the underpinnings of our economic system(s), foster deeper ecological interconnectedness, examine our unconscious agreements with the political economy and connect the dots between equity, economy, ecology and etiquette.
