The most dramatic week ever |

Hi! I'm Danielle, a marketer, writer, and comedian who went from open mics to opening a box of colored pencils during the pandemic. Welcome to my first doodle roundup newsletter in what I hope will be a regular series. Please let me know what you think! |

What a week! From the biggest voter turnout ever (you'll see why!) to much-needed entertainment (echem, The Bachelorette) to a winner — some might say it was the most dramatic week ever. Here are three doodles that provide some context and hopefully help you laugh through it. Don't we all need that? |

Breaking news: no candidate removed their clothing to encourage Americans to vote! |
|
|
In case you missed it, the mix of a heated political climate plus too much time at home resulted in (too) many celebrities and influencers posting pictures/"thirst traps" (maybe now we can call it a "vote trap") to get people's attention and encourage them to head to the polls. Amid the chaos of elections, I'm just glad our candidates did not join this trend. But, I drew what it would look like if they did. Warning: if you're eating ice cream, put it down. |

Clare Crawley "blows up The Bachelorette" It's been an election like no other, and just as importantly, it's been a Bachelorette season like no other! To add to the odd travel-free season marked by a quarantine and a delayed start, Clare, the lead, ignored the rest of the guys because she only had eyes for one — Dale Moss. Apparently it was love at first sight, and honestly, that's a story I can get on board with right now. I drew this before I watched but I got it right, I'm just missing the enormous engagement ring. And yes that’s Blake, Eazy, and Kenny being squished by a wrecking ball. They’re the only three I could name that were still there. Wishing the couple a happy life together, and a second chance for the guys left behind! |

Joe Biden and I have a lot in common, and we're both thriving Did you know Joe Biden went to University of Delaware? He did, and so did I! On Saturday, I happened to be in Washington Square Park when major news outlets announced he had won the election. I remembered that Biden had also spoken at my graduation in 2014. We've both come a long way over the past six years! Check it out in doodles. |

Why did I get this email? Because I thought you'd like it, or you expressed interest in my doodles in one way or another. Let me know if you want off the list. |
