Hi, everyone! I'm Ryne. Welcome to my newsletter. Thanks for subscribing through my website, reading blog posts, and engaging with me on social media. I understand that you only have so much time in your day and I am honored that you choose to spend some of that time engaging with me.
I've been greatly impacted over the past year by the weight of what this book writing project has become. Often times, I've gotten in my own way, thinking that people don't really want to read what I write, or the question of "Who am I to write a book?" which has continually found itself filling my head.
But the more I've prayed about this, the more people have continued to encourage me to move forward. My wife Rachel has been such a great cheerleader through all of the times I've struggled to invest the time I need to invest to bring this project to the next stage. I really couldn't do it without you, Rachel!
What has become clear to me is that I do have a story to tell, and it is a story that I've been telling for over three years now; but it's a story that I've been living my entire life as well. The story is this - through everything in life, whether it is good or bad, marked by joy or sorrow - God is Good.
That's it - that's the story. That's the story that I want to spend the rest of my life sharing. Inside of that story there are all kinds of other stories, but they all end the same - God is Good.
This newsletter is a vehicle to get the inside scoop on a number of really exciting things in the works for me and this project. Along the way, I will have some free offers for you as well - things that I have found useful for me to remind myself that God is Good, and that you might find useful for yourself.
I'm very much a tech guy. Recently I changed my background on my Apple Watch to the image of the lantern that is in the header of this email. This logo was a gift that Rachel made me a few months ago, and I love it! My mission is to shine my light wherever I go. The lantern as my watch image reminds me every time I check the time to shine light. (Get your FREE download of the lantern for your own smart watch below!)
Jesus' challenge during the Sermon on the Mount is one that I am doing my best to live up to:
14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
- Matthew 5:14-16 (ESV)
As we walk this road together, please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Also, feel free to forward this on to a friend!
