Mikahla Beutler is a Licensed Clinical Counselor (LPCC), National Certified Counselor, and founder of, Emergence Therapy, in Santa Fe, NM. In her 20+ years of experience she has taught graduate students, provided clinical supervision, facilitated continuing education courses, served as an independent school counselor, and managed a robust private practice. She currently provides training in the field of mental health for agency, school, and government
programs to strengthen trauma-informed approaches and client-centered interventions. The core ethos of her work (and play!) is to come with curiosity.
Training Description:
This training aims to provide individuals with the knowledge and tools to handle the complex emotional challenges in personal and professional environments by emphasizing the importance of self-compassion. Through understanding empathic strain, distress, and the components of self-compassion, participants will learn to foster resilience and well-being in their daily interactions.

Practice self-compassion in real time

All trainings are funded by HCA and offer CEUs for New Mexico-based behavioral health professionals. Live trainings are available via Zoom ensuring anyone in the state can easily attend. All Zoom trainings will include Spanish language interpretation. ASL interpreters available upon request at time of registration. Select courses will be available via on-demand learning modules.
This training is approved by New Mexico Counseling and Therapy Practice Board. Provider License No. CTB-2022-0245. Expires 09/30/2025. Social Work CE Units Approved by the National Association of Social Workers, New Mexico Chapter. The licensee must maintain proof of continuing education courses taken for the past four (4) years. The New Mexico Regulations and Licensing Department (NMRLD), Boards and Commissions, and Board Of Social Work Examiners reserve the right to audit a licensee’s continuing education records as it deems necessary. The NMRLD, Boards and Commissions, Counseling and Therapy Practice Board, and the NM Board of Psychological Examiners accept approved Social Work CE Units for license requirements.
