High-Achievers & Athletes,

Last week, I came across Layne Norton's podcast.

In one of his latest episode, his guest mentioned a quote that struck me: "I just bet my clone".

This sentence was not referring to some nerdy sci-fi clone army type thing but rather, something much cooler - his ideal self, the version he aspires to become. He was talking about the grind, and the disciplined it required to push himself every single day to beat his old self in order to eventually reach that "2.0 version". Every tasks that he accomplished on that day led to a feeling of "I just bet my clone".

Intriguing, right?

Well, it gets even better.

This whole "beat your clone" mindset got me thinking – not just about fitness, but about life. About identity. And about who we want to become.

See, before you dive headfirst into any major change or goals, you need a VISION. Whether it's about getting serious with your Functional Resistance Training sessions, hiring a coach, hitting the gym more often, eating healthier, moving to another city - you need to envision the plan you need to take and how it's going to feel like.

You need to see yourself as the person you want to become, to create a new, improved version of yourself and then, set out the actions to crush it every single day. It's like zooming out from the present moment, seeing the bigger picture, finding your way, and setting up on the right path with a clear destination in mind.

Think of it this way: you're the hero of your own story, and your ideal self. That superhero version of you is getting stronger, fitter, healthier, happier by battling up every day to get closer to that clone you envision.

So, here's my challenge to you: the next time you're faced with a decision – big or small – think about your ideal self.

Ask yourself this question: will this bring me closer to my goals?

Think about who you want to become. And then get out there and crush it.
There's nothing more empowering than knowing that every step you take is bringing you closer to that 2.0 version.

Don't forget that without a plan, this ideal self you are aspiring to become might become an imaginary illusion that is fading away little by little with the inactions and lies you constantly tell yourself.

We're here to help you become the hero of your own story - if you aspire for change, growth and that you have the willingness to take action.

Passionately,

Max & Ben
