Can't attend the Executive Board in person? You can still attend virtually by registering for the virtual platform! MASC's technical operations coordinator is setting up an external camera and virtual participants will be able to see and hear the meeting through Zoom. There will also be a chat monitor so you can participate as appropriate. Please note: Voting members of the executive board may only vote if they are in person. Our constitution does not allow for virtual voting during an in-person meeting.

Middle School AmbassadorsNew - Appointed staff voting member of the MASC Executive Board Application deadline: 5:00 p.m., the last day of each month. There will be a rolling deadline at the end of each month until all positions are filled with qualified middle school students. Please disregard the original deadlines listed in the application packet. MASC is excited to add Middle School Ambassadors to the appointed staff of the executive board. The middle school ambassador will work with the divisional liaison (an appointed high school student) from their division to contact middle schools in their division and serve as a point of contact for MASC. They must have good time management skills to juggle this position’s communication tasks, school work, and other outside activities.
Please note: An appointment can be made to a position outside of a student's home region as MASC is still building relationships with schools and advisors in some of the divisions where there might not be any applications. |
MASC Executive Board Voting Members 2021-2022 MASC is still compiling the 2020-2021 MASC Roster. All Regional Presidents SMOBS / SROBS / Commissioners, and 2nd VP / Middle School Representatives are voting members of the MASC executive board. MASC would appreciate it if regional advisors or the above-listed students complete the google form for our records. We understand that some regions may currently have "acting" officers until a fall election is possible. Please let us know that information as the acting officers would still be voting members of MASC's executive board.

This back-to-school season, buy sustainable school supplies! Look for durable supplies that don’t have to be quickly replaced and can be used again next year. Although such products can be a few dollars more expensive, their long-lasting quality gives them considerably higher value. Some examples of materials that can be used for more than a year include mechanical pencils over wooden ones, refillable pens, cloth pencil pouches over plastic ones, and “binder notebooks” or Rocketbooks over paper/cardboard ones. Reuse materials from previous years such as folders, drawing materials, and notebooks with sufficient amounts of remaining pages. One helpful idea is to insert loose-leaf paper and sheet protectors into three-prong folders or flexible binders, creating notebooks that don't leave unusable extra pages. This also leaves room for miscellaneous papers and small supply pouches within the notebook, reducing the number of separate binders, folders, and notebooks you have to buy. |
Consciously reducing your waste when restocking supplies by buying less and thinking creatively is one of the easiest environmentally-friendly habits to adopt. Make it your goal this year! |
