The Department of Human Services (DHS) is undertaking a study of the needs of Latinos, Latinas, and Latines, in Allegheny County so that community members can tell them WHAT services are needed and HOW to provide services. They are hosting a series of focus groups (via zoom) to hear from community members later this month. |

The American Recovery Plan is sending hundreds of millions of dollars to the region. This large sum of money stands to substantially impact our neighborhoods and the issues we care about. The Economic Justice Circle is leading a campaign calling for transparency, community-leadership, and equity in deciding how that money should be spent. Click the link below to sign the petition. |

The new Center for Shared Prosperity at Carnegie Mellon with residents and community leaders from across the area (including several EJGP partners) to develop solutions to the challenges in their neighborhoods. They're using the Platform for an Equitable and Just Greater Pittsburgh as a starting point! |

The PLC is supporting families within Pittsburgh Public School District to connect them with the appropriate resources during the school year and is now supporting efforts to ensure kids have access to quality programming during the summer. |

Thank you to the EGJP Advisory Group, who met again in April! We reviewed the work and direction of the network. We may be looking for a few new volunteers from certain issue areas and neighborhoods to join the advisory group. We will share details at the May 12th network meeting. |

Ben Gutschow of the Pittsburgh Youth Council for Change (PYCC) presented at our last network meeting in March. On May 1st, the PYCC held their youth-organized, youth-led candidates' forum. Check out the video to see them ask questions about youth concerns to candidates running for office! |
