Closing Date Set

The race committee has set a closing date for entries for this year, and its May 1st.

This is to allow for the effective planning and management of the race and to encourage all the teams who have said they are coming to get their entry form in. (At the moment we are expecting about 10 entries for this year's race, including at least one very special Challenge team, and an international entry.)

You don't need the full team details to enter. If you are still looking for a crew member or runner they can be added later, and you can use the website noticeboard and Facebook page to help find them.

The answers to most of the questions we get asked about the race are already on the website, but if you do have any they should be addressed to the Race Secretary, Wendy Ponsford by email to secretary@threepeaksyachtrace.co.uk

You can find the entry details and entry form here.

Welcome Back Wild Spirit

The race is delighted to welcome back the Wild Spirit team once more this year.

Skipper Paul Jackson is bringing his Jeaneau 40 again, for what will be his 5th race (the third on Wild Spirit).  Last year the team took the 'King of the Mountains' title with runners Stuart Walker and Dave Robinette, and in 2018 Wild Sprit were the race winners.

They have won quite a collection of race silverware over the years, and they will be looking for more this year!

New Committee Members

Our appeal for new committee members had a good response and we'd like to welcome Steve Bunting, Lucy Burns (from Fort William Sailing Club), and Nick Ridgway (who has raced 5x, the last two on Wild Spirit).  Their experience, enthusiasm and expertise are a welcome addition to the committee.

See you in Barmouth on July 9th!

Yours in adventure,

The Three Peaks Yacht Race Crew
