Crickfest 2019 - A Huge Success!

From all of us at PVCA, we want to extend our sincerest thanks to our members, friends, guests, volunteers, sponsors and food vendors for another successful Crickfest!

We would like to give a special "shout out" to the following:

Barb Lange for filling the "big shoes" of Martha Hoffman for the overall management of Crickfest. An incredible job well done Barb! And "Thank You!" to Martha for her many years of service to PVCA in many, many capacities including overseeing Crickfest.

Thanks to Brian Niewinski and Centre Hall Little League for supplying their field liner, Roy Rupert for supplying the many parking cones, as well as Mike Arthur, Jim Zubler, Paul King and Sridhar Anandakrishnan for their hard work managing parking this year.

Tour PVCA's Muddy Creek Improvements

& Stacy Levy Farm

Upper George's Valley

This PVCA member event is still in the works,

however, we wanted to make sure it was on your calendars!  PVCA will be conducting a tour of a number of our stream bank restoration projects, pollinator and habitat plantings, as well featuring two well-known speakers on the topic of supporting healthy watersheds.

Tour two of PVCA’s stream bank improvement projects with habitat champion, Lysle Sherwin. Learn what impacts the young forest initiative is having on water quality and wildlife from the expert. Hear from the farmers about the wildlife preservation work done by PVCA on their land.

Afterward, join Stacy Levy, world-famous landscape and sculpture artist, as she walks us through her property.  See how she defines wild vs built worlds using natural gradients that add beauty and habitat. Learn the answer to the question of how to live in a place without displacing the natural qualities that make the land beautiful.
