Pomo Project honors the Month of October as Pomo Honoring Month. This month celebration emphasizes awareness of Pomo history and building bridges for future generations. Pomo wisdom and traditions holds immense value, and the Pomo Project supports local Pomo people having an active voice in public policy,
including development, education, culture, and vision.

SPECIAL Event Spotlight: (Hands Native Fashion Show)

Finest Feathers Fashion Show/ Battle of the Beads contest will highlight talented Indigenous artist from across the Nation. This phenomenal showcase will highlight over 50 Indigenous artist and small businesses. Join in celebrating the beautiful culture of the Indigenous people of California. This contest is focused on foster healing, wellness and economic growth for our Indigenous communities facing disparities.

 

In part, our very own Community Relations Manager, Rose Hammock

will be taking part in this special event, featuring her traditional beadwork!
