Ongoing Catalyst Development

On Saturday, the 1st of April, two of ecl's trainees in Itsoseng, ran a parent circle. This was the first parent circle hosted by two of the six current ecl trainees - forming part of their ongoing Catalyst Development. Working with a group of 13, the trainees, under the supervision of Monki Makhoba, took the group through the Container, Feelings Thermometer, Spider's Web and other ecl tools.

The aim of the parent-circle-training experience is to introduce the trainees to co-facilitation and practice. After this stage, ecl aims to move into the next phase of the development training - by allowing them to run workshops independently.

Empowering Mentorship: Students Taking the Lead in our Mentorship Program

The Ruth First mentors and mentees are currently displaying the power of student agency and initiative to create remarkable outcomes. In this unique structure, the mentors and mentees are taking the lead by planning and organising their mentorship sessions, fostering a sense of ownership and empowerment that is propelling their growth and pushing them out of their comfort zone.

One of the key benefits of this student-led mentorship structure is the opportunity for students to develop creative and effective communication skills. They are learning how to articulate their needs and actively participate in shaping their learning experiences. These skills will not only empower them during their time in the program but also equip them with valuable tools for future endeavours. Rather than simply following a prescribed structure as we have always done over the last 10 years, students have the freedom to explore their unique interests with the guidance of their mentors.

A special thank you to Raymond Nettmann for his dedication to this program and to all those who continue to support ecl as we empower the next generation through student-led mentorship.

Ongoing Volunteer Program: ecl South Africa

The volunteer program at ecl is becoming a cornerstone of our mission to provide support to communities in and around Gauteng. 8 dedicated volunteers are coming together regularly to contribute their time, skills, and compassion to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families. To date, we have completed six of eight training sessions on the fundamentals of Systemic Constellations. We have covered the following: The 4 Orders of Love, Consciousness, The Orders of Helping, a few learning tools and much more. Most importantly, the volunteers are being trained on how to facilitate constellations.

By becoming involved, volunteers will have the capacity to empower people in their own communities to grow and expand ecl resources. The foreseen impact of these volunteer efforts goes beyond immediate assistance in ecl work, as they are ultimately helping build essential life skills, equipping them for success in their personal and professional pursuits.

There are two sessions left of the program, however, ecl will continue with more, to focus on specialised ecl tools and programs. Anyone interested, may sign up here.

Seeking Funding to Catalyse Positive Change

ecl South Africa is currently embarking on a new chapter: applying for funding to expand its impactful initiatives.

Since its establishment, ecl has been dedicated to addressing challenges in education. By fostering collaborations, supporting research, and promoting community engagement, the foundation has continuously strived to create a better future for its communities.
