(1) The Gallery

a nationwide billboard project produced by the Artichoke Trust, London, UK

I’m really happy to announce that I was one of ten artists commissioned by the Artichoke Trust, London for a nation-wide billboard project. The theme was “Straight White Male” and I worked with the biker group “The Lads” in Belfast to deliver my “Identity T-shirts Project”. I’m really sad to say that 3 days after my group photo shoot, one of the participants for the project, John Harris, died in a traffic accident. In consideration of his family, we have made the difficult decision not to exhibit my billboard in Northern Ireland. Instead, the picture will be represented on big billboards around several hundred sites all around England, Scotland and Wales until the 15th August. If any of you see my picture around your area, snap a photo and let me know.

英国全土でビルボードを使い展開されるロンドンのアーティチョーク・トラストによるプロジェクトのため、コミッションを受けた10人のアーティストのうちの1人に選ばれたことを光栄に思います。「ヘテロセクシャル　、白人、男性」というテーマのもと、ベルファストのバイク乗りのグループ「The Lads」を巻き込み「Identity T-shirts Project」を実現しました。ところが悲しいことに、集合写真撮影3日後にプロジェクト参加者のジョン・ハリスが交通事故で亡くなってしまいました。家族の心境を考慮した結果、写真は北アイルランドでは展示しないという厳しい決断に至りました。代わりに、イングランド、スコットランド、ウェールズの数百箇所の大きなビルボードで8月15日まで展示されます。もしあなたの住む近所でビルボードをみかけたら、写真を撮り教えて下さい。

(2) "Identity T-shirts Project" in both South Nicosia and North Nicosia / "Feeding Carrots from the South to Donkeys in the North" 

During my residency n Nicosia, Cyprus I realized 2 projects of "Identity T-shirts Project" involving people from both Southern Greek and Northern Turkish communities and "Feeding Carrots from the South to Donkeys in the North".

キプロスのニコシアのレジデンス滞在中にニコシア南北両方のコミュニティの人々を巻き込んだ「Identity T-shirts Project」と「南の人参を、北に住むロバに与える」の二つのプロジェクトを実現しました。

(3) Group Exhibition (グループ展) “Unlimited Festival 2022"

My new project "Brexit Sausages" will be represented in "Unlimited Festival 2022" in the Southbank Centre, London in September! This is a part of opportunities through Chris Ledger Legacy Award which I won last year. I will realize this new social intervention for the Irish Sea Border which was created after Brexit. The outcome will be also represented continuously in my solo shows in Dillon Gallery, Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich, Belfast, Northern Ireland from December 2022 to January 2023 and Custom House Studios and Gallery, Westport, Ireland from February to March  2023 

ヘイワードギャラリーが入っているロンドンのサウスバンクセンターで、9月に「Unlimited Festival 2022」に参加し、新作「ブレグジット・ソーセージ」を展示します。これは昨年末受賞した、「クリス・レジャー・レガシー・アワード」の一環での展示です。プロジェクトはブレグジット後に新たに作られたアイリッシュ・シー・ボーダーへの社会介入型作品です。成果は、ベルファストのアートセンターDillon Gallery, Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaichで2022年12月から2023年1月まで、アイルランドのウエストポートにあるCustom House Studios and Galleryで2023年2月から3月まで、それぞれ開催される個展でも、巡回展示される予定です。
