May 2022 Newsletter

I'm sure this year so far has been jam packed for us all! Here are a couple of our personal updates:

Our Lead mentor, Gabriel, has moved back to Virginia and started a job as a Deputy Sheriff for Henrico County!

Nicholas is still oversees with the Army but will be returning to the states to join us back in mentoring this summer!

As far as Today Jesus, the young men have grown SO much since our start in 2020. If you click below, you can find a blooper from this past weekend.

With much prayer, we have been evaluating and developing upon our mission. When we came upon a grant application through the Department of Criminal Justice Service of Virginia, we rebranded our organization and website. We encourage you to check it out and read into our ALIVE (Abundant Love Impedes Violent Engagements) Initiative and Trading a Wild Life for Wildlife Program.

ALIVE Community Event

For Resurrection Sunday, we went to Aqueduct alongside Alpha and Omega Network of Ministries and NNPD to give the community an action packed event. We had cotton candy, music and what the children turned into karaoke, tug of war against NNPD, and many races. We plan to keep up days like this where we go in the community to spread Abundant Love to Impede Violent Engagements on a more regular basis, especially in the summer months. When the imaging for this event is filtered through, we will send this link to you all as well.

Trading a Wild Life for Wildlife

For our Spring 2022 Camping Trip, we received a $1000 grant from Community Knights and took the young men to Go Ape and KOA Williamsburg. We are pleased to give you a first look at this trip through the link down below. On the night of arrival, they took a pledge to remain ALIVE and we discussed the effects the path they may be heading down can lead to and the need for change, TODAY. This same night, there was a teen whom they all knew, that was murdered in their neighborhood. As we wish this young man will Rest in Peace, we were all reminded of our reasons why this outreach is so important.

We are preparing for our Back to School Bash early this year and would like to request donations for any school supplies, backpacks, or shoes to be able to provide for the children. If you would like to contribute to this event, please email us and/or feel free to donate monetarily with the description being "Back2School" through the donation button below.

We would like to request prayers for the grant application we have submitted for Gun Violence Intervention and Prevention as well as the families and young men we minister to.

Thank you for your continued love and support for this ministry!
