You Make My Heart Sing... |

The new books are in and ready for purchase! You can order your copies here in the Our State Store. It's so exciting to finally see this book in person. In case you missed the news— You Make My Heart Sing was written by Elizabeth Hudson, the editor of Our State magazine, and illustrated by me with 35 original watercolor paintings. This is the second book I have illustrated for Elizabeth and Our State and they are both found in the Our State Store. |

The cover image for You Make My Heart Sing is part of a larger illustration inside the book. It depicts Elizabeth on an early morning walk with her grandmother, as they listen to the dawn chorus. Elizabeth's writing reflects on the past and present and often tells stories about her family and childhood. Both You Make My Heart Sing and Silver Linings contain 35 of her monthly essays, which read like short stories. More from You Make My Heart Sing: |

You can also still find copies of Silver Linings in the Our State Store here. It was published in 2019 and features 36 of my watercolor illustrations. |

The fall colors are amazing in North Carolina right now, especially in the mountains. I have lots of original art for all seasons in my Etsy shop, like the little autumn watercolor shown here. |

My two fall group class series are about halfway over already, and they seem to be going really well! We're having fun and everyone is improving their skills. • I have a full-day workshop coming up the Saturday after next, Nov. 5th. This workshop has just one space available, if you'd like to slip in. • I'm also accepting registrations for group classes that will begin in January and February, as well as another workshop in late February.
