2. Celebrations without crackers- celebrate with lights, gifts, arts and crafts, Diwali special dishes and sweets, and spending family time together. Sparklers or eco-friendly crackers produce less smoke and noise, so those are preferable to the ones that are more polluting. You can also decrease the amount of fireworks you buy and use, as every bit counts!

3. Reuse the diyas from previous years by refreshing them with painted designs.

4. Promote local cottage industries by using earthen diyas.
